EuropeWave 2nd Annual Conference
28 March 2023 - Brussels (Belgium) and Online
The second edition of the annual conference of EuropeWave was held on 28 March 2023 in Brussels and online by the EuropeWave project consortium. This first session was a policy update from Matthijs Soede - the ocean energy lead within the DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission, and the presentation of the five successful Phase 2 projects, highlighting the lessons learnt from Phase 1 and their Phase 2 progress. For the second session, Tim Hurst, Managing Director of Wave Energy Scotland, shared the latest findings from their study on the potential of the floating wind and wave energy. Donagh Cagney, policy director at Ocean Energy Europe, introduced the European funding landscape.
EuropeWave: Stepping up to the next phase of the PCP programme

EuropeWave participated in the ICOE-OEE conference and hosted a side event, which featured the five projects selected to enter the next phase of the programme. The successful developers showcased their project work, lessons learnt during Phase 1, and highlighted their milestones to achieve in the next phase.
EuropeWave 1st Annual Conference

The first edition of the annual conference of EuropeWave was held on 22 Feb 2022 online in 2 sessions. This first session was the presentation of the seven successful Phase 1 projects, presented by the 7 project leaders. For the second session, we invited project leaders to share their visions and to discuss how to accelerate the commercialisation of the wave innovations, together with Matthijs Soede of the Research and Innovation DG at the European Commission.
