EuropeWave at EUSEW 2023 Energy Fair

European Sustainable Energy Week, an annual event organised by the European Commission to promote clean energy and energy efficiency, recently took place in Brussels from 20-22 June.

EuropeWave was delighted to participate in the Energy Fair, a networking platform allowing EUSEW participants to interact with exhibitors. Our Brussels team took this opportunity to promote ocean energy and to connect with those interested in the technologies through an interactive quiz at the exhibition stand.

The quiz was a great success, as it encouraged participants to interact with the team, and discuss ocean energy and the EuropeWave project. Many participants came to spin the wheel of fortune and those who answered the questions correctly received a EuropeWave branded notebook as a prize. The prize was not their biggest takeaway; more importantly, they were enthusiastic about bringing ocean energy knowledge home.

Apart from the game, EuropeWave’s promotional video was also officially released and aired at the exhibition. This video highlights the benefits of wave energy for Europe and how EuropeWave supports the wave energy sector via its funding programme. Photos and video footage from the awarded projects are also illustrated in the video giving the audience a glimpse into how these innovative projects look and work.
