IDOM Commissions Novel PTO System Ahead of Offshore Deployment
IDOM has successfully completed the commissioning of a novel Power Take-Off (PTO) system, which is now set to undergo an extensive testing campaign at the Mutriku wave power plant. Over the next six weeks, the air turbine will be tested to validate its performance and reliability in real-world conditions, with the goal of de-risking its future offshore deployment.

Work continues to progress on our wave energy project:
Detailed design efforts are ongoing for both the Wave Energy Converter (WEC) hull and the Variable Hydraulic Module (VHM).
A final round of tank testing was completed in mid-February. The test results, expected shortly, will provide critical input for design refinement.
Manufacturing trials for the VHM are scheduled to begin in March, marking another key step toward prototype development and validation.
A berth reservation agreement has been signed for Berth 2 at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), securing a deployment location for future sea trials.
